Tomas Marrecau, DMD earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Molecular Biology from Princeton University, a top ranked Ivy League school. Dr. Tomas Marrecau spent most of his free time on the tennis court, as he was a member of the Division I Men’s tennis team. At an early age, Dr. Marrecau had his sights of becoming an orthodontist. He attended Tufts School of Dental Medicine where he actively participated in Smile Squad, teaching the importance of oral health at local elementary schools.
Upon completion of dental school, Dr. Tomas Marrecau practiced general dentistry for almost two years in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Tomas Marrecau was then accepted to the University of Pennsylvania for his two-year postgraduate training in orthodontics where he was most fortunate to learn orthodontics under the guidance of Dr. Robert Vanarsdall, a well-respected leader in orthodontics and periodontics worldwide. In the two years at University of Pennsylvania, he met many life-long friends and colleagues.
After the completion of his orthodontic training, Dr. Tomas Marrecau had the opportunity to practice with several outstanding orthodontists in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Voorhees, New Jersey. In 2009 Dr. Tomas Marrecau was happy to move to sunny Florida.
